Will I Ever Catch Up?!!

Wow! It feels like forever since I have updated our blog…actually its has been 12 weeks…YIKES! We seem to be busier than ever lately, Kennedy started Pre-school back in August. She absolutely loves it and the teachers are always raving about what a pleasure she is in class! I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love that little girl she is constantly making us laugh with her story telling and is so much fun! 3 is an awesome age!!

Colton is growing like a weed. He will be 5 months this week…I feel like everytime I blink my eyes he is bigger and bigger. I wish I could slow him down a little. I’m not quite ready to let him grow up just yet! He loves playing with his feet, rolling around, grabbing at things and is even starting to inch worm around on the floor (Kennedy didn’t crawl until she was 10 months old…something is telling me, we won’t be that lucky with this little guy, LOL) He is weighing 16 pounds now and is the happiest baby ever!!! Kendal and I both agree we would have 2 more babies if it were a guarantee they would be just like him!

We have had no shortage of fun around here in the past few months and have plenty to look forward to! This weekend we are attempting camping again with a big group of friends. Camping with a 5 month old is probably a crazy idea, but we’ll see how it works out! Nana & Pa are coming to visit at the end of the month for Halloween!! And we just bought our plane tickets this week for Christmas… Kendal will only be able to be with us for a week but the kids and I will be in Ohio for an entire month and I CAN’T WAIT!!

After going through our camera, I am on picture overload…lol! SOOOO…..here is my attempt to catch everyone up on what we’ve been doing the past 3 months and I promise…I will get better about updating more often!!! Love to all!

I guess we will start off on 4th of July! We spent the 4th in Cleveland again this year! Kennedy LOVED the fireworks as usual and much to my surprise…Colton was fascinated with them too!

The week we went to Disney was one of their slowest weeks of the year! We never waited longer than 10 minutes for anything! We managed to ride every single kid friendly ride at Magic Kingdom, some we rode 2 and 3 times...this was one of her favorites!

It's hard to believe we've been in Cleveland for 4 weeks already! Time is flying by and there is definitely no shortage of fun! I think it has been hotter here than it has been back home in SC. Kendal will be flying up here in about 2 more weeks to drive us all back home and Kennedy & I can hardly wait to see him!
Colton is growing like a weed. He is up to 13lbs already! Getting a few fat rolls here and there...I love my chubby babies!! He is smiling on command and cooing like crazy. Rolling over from his belly to back and pretty much sleeping through night now! He is such a good baby! I can't wait for Kendal to see him again. In just the 3 weeks Kendal has been gone, Colton has changed so much!
I registered Kennedy for pre-school this week. Her 1st day will be August 23rd! Kind of bittersweet for me. I've actually been dreading this day since she was born..My little girl is growing up so fast but I know she is going to LOVE going to school and she will do great!
Only 10 more days with Grammy and Papa...hoping to squeeze in a trip to the zoo (if it cools off outside) and maybe even to Put-In-Bay for an afternoon! Enjoy the pictures, Lots of Love to all!

I've been gone for way too long!

I've been receiving tons of flack for not updating the blog with in a reasonable amount of time~ sorry guys! After being on the road for 2 weeks it's been hard to find a minute to sit down and upload all of our photos! So be ready for picture over load!! Two weeks ago today we loaded up the car and drove, what should have been a 7 hour drive to Nashville. However with a 3 year old and 7 week old baby, that 7 hour drive turned into a 12 hour drive! We spent 2 nights in Music City and I LOVED every second of it! What an awesome city! Kendal & I will definitely be making a trip back with out the kids in the near future for a little boot~ scoot~and boogy-ing!
After 2 nights in Nashville, we re-packed the car and kept on driving west. After a 7 hour drive we made it to St. Louis where we met up with the rest of the Tripp family! It was great seeing everyone and spending the entire weekend with them! Kendal's cousin, Ashely, was married over the weekend at one of the most beautiful wedding venue's I've ever seen. Kennedy was the flower girl and much to everyone's surprise she did an amazing job. She walked down the isle no problem. Stood next to the maid of honor (who stuffed the pocket in her dress full of candy) and never made a sound during the entire ceremony. And walked back down the isle when it was over! Needless to say, Kendal and I were both super proud of her!! After our weekend in St Louis it was time to pack up again, say our good byes (which are never fun) and head to Cleveland to see Grammy & Papa! Kendal's work schedule is kind of crazy for the next 7 weeks so the kids and I will be spending the summer up north! Kendal is leaving us tomorrow afternoon to head back to Charleston:-( We have had a super fun vacation so far and can't wait to see what the next 6 weeks bring!! Hope everyone is enjoying the summer as much as we are! Love you all!

What a fun week we have had! It’s still hard for me to believe but we now have a 3 year old!!! Watching our adorable little girl grow everyday has been the biggest joy of my life…I just wish she would slow down a little

Not only did we celebrate Kennedy turning 3 this past week but we also had a super fun visit from Nana for 10 days! We have been so spoiled for the past 5 weeks having our moms around to help with day to day life! I can’t thank you both enough for all of the cooking, cleaning, bottle washing, laundry, Baby holding, and toddler entertaining you have done!! We are both pretty lucky to have such awesome Mom’s!!

Good thing we only have to survive 10 days on our own before we are with the grandma’s againLove you both!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer as much as we are! We are getting pretty excited for the upcoming months. We are preparing to head to St Louis next week for a wedding and then off to Cleveland for 2 months. Kendal’s schedule is looking a little crazy for the months of July and August so the kids and I have decided to spend the remainder of the summer up north!! WE CAN’T WAIT!!!!

Well, our month with Grammy has come and gone We were pretty sad to see her and Papa take off yesterday morning! I can not even begin to express how blessed I am to have the Mom I have! I’m not quite sure how we would have made it through the last month with out her here!! You are a pretty awesome maid Totally kidding, I love you Ma!! From the bottom of our hearts we thank you!!!

This week is full of birthday party planning (Kennedy’s 3rd bday) Doctor appointments (Mommy’s surgical incision is struggling to heal once again ) and Nana is coming on Thursday! Here some pictures from the last two weeks! Since this is my 1st day on my own I don’t have a whole lot of time to write. I have bottles to wash, laundry to be done, beds to be made, dinner to cook, a 2 year old to chase , and a 4 week old baby who wants to be held constantly! (and my Dr wants me to take it easy for 2 more weeks…yeah right!) Thank goodness Nana will be here in 2 days

Baby Days!

Time passes by way too fast! Colton is already 2 weeks old and even worst, I just realized Kennedy will be turning 3 in just a few weeks! I have found myself clinging to my babies this week~ I'm afraid if I blink or turn around for too long I will see BIG kids standing before me!
Colton is doing great! We took him to the Dr for his 2 week checkup on Thursday. He is now 7lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long! Sleeping through the night for the most part. He wakes up here and there but only long enough to have his diaper changed and guzzle down an ounce or two. He rarely cries and is even starting to recognize voices and give little grins!! He is an absolute dream come true!!!
Kennedy is amazing as a big sister! She is so loving towards him. She loves laying under his play mat playing and singing to him. She is constantly hugging and kissing him and every time he makes even the smallest noise she runs to see what is wrong. Kendal and I took her for a special date with just Mommy & Daddy to get ice cream the other evening and she cried the entire time because she missed her brother and wanted him to come with us~ I couldn't have asked for a sweeter little girl!!!!
Kendal is back to work now:-( But I'm super blessed to still have my Mom here with us! Having her here has been the best! I'm definitely going to struggle when the time comes for her to head back home! As for me, I'm doing much better than I did when I had Kennedy. My surgical incision has only opened partially this time and the Dr thinks I should be heal quicker than last time! Fingers Crossed! I'm ready to be back to my old self!!! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the sunshine for me!! Love to all:-)

Introducing... Colton Riley Tripp

HE'S HERE!!!!

Colton Riley was born on Thursday May5th at 1:35pm.
He weighed in at 7 pounds even, measured 20 inches long and is an absolute dream come true!

The day before Baby Brother's Birthday we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of another person...

GRAMMY is here!!!
I don't think Kennedy stopped smiling the entire day!
Colton's nursery was finished in just the nick of time...
The next morning Kendal & I packed up and headed to the hospital. I was surprisingly pretty calm, the nerves didn't really hit until I was in my gown and saw my first of MANY needles for the day!! My biggest fear wasn't having surgery again, or having another baby, it was the anticipation of the spinal and what that was going to feel like. When I had Kennedy, I was in full blown labor and in ALOT of pain...so I could have cared less what the epidural was going to feel like, I just wanted some relief. This time around I wasn't in any pain at all and I was about to get a giant needle in my back!! It really wasn't too bad however, the anesthesiologist kept slipping and instead of just one prick we had to try it 4 separate times! I now have a giant bruise and 4 needle marks on my back...but it was all worth it about 20 minutes later:-)

As soon as they pulled him out, my Dr shouted...
ANOTHER ONE THAT LOOKS JUST LIKE DADDY!

My Dr had a dosage of Morphine injected into my spinal site after surgery to maintain my pain that was due to last for 12 hours. Unfortunately I had a terrible reaction to the medication and spent the next 12 hours throwing up. Colton was born at 1:35 in the afternoon and I didn't get to hold him until 2 in the morning:-(

We decided to hold off having Kennedy come to the hospital on Thursday because of the way I was feeling. We didn't want her to see me in that condition and scare her!
So first thing in the morning, Grammy brought her straight to the hospital!

And almost a week later...she still can't stop!!

I'm the happiest Mommy ever!

Easter 2011

10 more days!!!! Baby brother will be here in just over a week and Mommy has been busy making lots of lists and checking them twice. Since I'll be stuck in the house for a good 4-6 weeks after surgery I am frantically trying to make sure all of my ducks are in a row around here!!
Kendal has been away for work most of this month and we were super happy to welcome him home last Thursday night! It was a VERY long 17 days with out having Daddy around & Kennedy spent the entire weekend hanging on him and refused to let him out of her sight! He made it home just in time for Easter weekend and we sure had fun around here! The weather has been in the 80's so Friday was spent working in the yard, pulling weeds, cutting the grass, trimming tree's, digging out Kennedy's summer toys and scrubbing them down and most importantly enjoying the sunshine!!! (and yes Ma, I actually pulled the weeds~lol) Friday night we headed to the movies and watched Rio. Kennedy loved it (I, of course forgot my camera-oops)
Saturday we went to our friends church for an Easter Egg hunt! Super fun!! Kennedy was thrilled with all of the goodies she collected! And we had a very un-traditional Easter Sunday this year. We slept in...checked out what the Easter bunny dropped off, and then headed to the beach for the day! It was around 87* here and beautiful!! Couldn't have asked for a better day!! Hope everyone had a very blessed weekend:-)

It's hard to believe that in just one month from tomorrow our little guy will finally be here! I'm not quite sure where the last 8 months have gone! Time sure is flying by and we are so excited for his big arrival!!
Kendal is leaving on a trip for work later this week and won't be back until the end of the month, so we decided to jam pack this past weekend full of fun family activities! We all had a blast and between all of the ice cream and candy we probably each gained a good 3 pounds or so! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the warmer weather! Love you all very much!!

Kendal was on alert last week and it rained just about everyday! We were so tired of being trapped in the house by the time Friday came around!

Summer is Here!!!!

I know, I know, stop rubbing it in, but I can't help it! While most of you up north are "enjoying" your 65*, rainy weather... Down here in Charleston we are LOVING our 85* warm and sunny days! We have spent every single day for the past 2 weeks outside working on our sun tans!! Not a cloud in the sky! Even did a little swimming in the ocean over the weekend! I love living here! Everyone in our household is finally healthy. No more runny noses or coughing! I've been babysitting Kennedy's little buddy William Monday-Friday for a couple of weeks now and its been such a blessing to have him around. At 33 weeks pregnant, my energy level is at an all time low~ William helps to keep Kennedy entertained all morning and afternoon so I can take it easy! Baby brother is doing great!! He is measuring right on schedule so my Dr still plans on taking him a week early to avoid me going into labor! Only 6 weeks and 1 day to go!!!
I managed to remember to take a few pictures this week!! Hopefully everyone is doing well! Love and miss you all!

I certainly hope my Dr plans on explaining where Kennedy's baby is in 6 weeks when Mommy has one and she doesn't! LOL!

What a week!

We started last weekend out in the ER with Kennedy. She had been coughing and complaining of an ear ache all night Friday. We took her in on Saturday morning and found out she had RSV (respiratory infection) a double ear infection and Bronchitis..Our poor baby. After a week of rest, antibiotics and lots of Tylenol she is finally back to her old self. Thank-goodness!
Kendal took his test for his next rank promotion. We are both relieved to have that out of the way, now we just have to wait until June for the results to be released.
Our amazing friends threw us a baby shower this past weekend and spoiled us rotten! Looks like all we need to do now is get Colton's nursery ready and then we are all set for his arrival.
The weather has been beyond beautiful. We spent last Sunday sitting on the beach playing in the sand. Spring has finally sprung in the south and we are loving every second of it!! Other than that its just life as usual around here! Hope everyone is doing well~ lots of love to all of you!

I'm Back! I've been pretty lazy about posting lately but I promise to try and get back to blogging once a week. We are all doing well in the Tripp household! Kennedy has been spending her days outside soaking up the sunshine! The weather has been in the high 70's for almost 2 weeks now and we've made sure to spend as much time outside enjoying it! Kendal has been working a lot and has been spending his evenings studying for his upcoming promotion test! Throw up an extra prayer for him this year if you will:-) Carrie's belly has been getting bigger and bigger everyday and will be 29 weeks pregnant as of Thursday. Baby brothers birthday has now been scheduled. The Doctor has decided my c-section will be on May 5th at 12:30pm! She is taking him a week and a half early because she will be on vacation the following week! We couldn't be more excited!
We finally ordered Kennedy a new bedroom set this week. Fingers crossed the transition to a new bed and an entirely new bedroom go smoothly!! Colton's nursery will get put together shortly after that and then we will be all set for his arrival!
I have to admit I have been absolutely horrible about remembering to bring my camera along with me, so a bunch of cell phone pictures will have to do for this post!!! Hope everyone is doing well and keeping warm~ we are thinking about all of you while enjoying our sunshine!!!!

Our month full of travels has ended~Have to say, I was pretty excited to get out of the snowy north! I sure missed my 70 degree sunny Charleston weather! Kennedy & I had a great time while in Ohio~ We stayed super busy visiting with family and friends! We were home to celebrate Papa's 50th birthday at Chuck -E-Cheese of all places and we celebrated Aunt Carli's 22nd Birthday! We went to Great Wolf Lodge for a sleepover and spent a whole day swimming with our friends, we visited The Cleveland Zoo's Rain Forest, We went to Disney on Ice, We played at playground world, went out to eat at some of the most delicious restaurants and we even managed to squeeze in a little shopping :-)
However, one thing never seems to fail when we visit Cleveland~ Kennedy ALWAYS gets sick! Our last week in Cleveland was spent laying around in our pajamas watching tons of movies. Our flight home last Wednesday was canceled due to the weather and was re-scheduled for Friday. Good thing, because we ended up in the ER on Wednesday evening. Kennedy had an ear infection and a sinus infection! After a week of rest and some antibiotics she is as good as new!
Only 97 more days until Baby brother is due to arrive and we are now in crunch time! We are working on a new bedroom for Kennedy. Putting together the babies furniture and decorating his room, selling our old spare bedroom furniture and down sizing to something new and smaller, organizing and preparing to sell Kennedy's obnoxiously large wardrobe from seasons past, and digging out all of our old baby gear for a good scrub down! Needless to say~ we have plenty to do in the next 3 months around here!! Hope everyone is staying warm~ lots of love to all!

January has been a VERY busy yet VERY fun month for us! We started out with a trip to Iowa to surprise the Tripp side of the family! Super Fun! The only person who had any idea we were coming was Kendal's dad! The look on everyone's face when we showed up was priceless! Especially Kendal's Mom! Kennedy had a blast visiting with her favorite cousin! She spent 3 whole days following him from room to room playing & giggling :-) Couldn't have asked for a better time! After 5 days in Iowa it was time for Kendal to get back to work, he got on a plane back to Charleston while Kennedy and I hopped on a plane headed to Cleveland to spend the rest of the month with Grammy & Papa:-) I'll have pictures of our trip to Ohio up next week but for now I am enjoying a look back at our trip to the VERY COLD mid west!!

Can you believe it is 2011?? I sure can't! We had a great weekend full of friends! New Years Eve we all stayed up way too late playing games and watching fireworks, New Years Day was spent playing at the park and enjoying 70+ degree weather & hanging out with some old friends we hadn't seen in quite a while. On Sunday we headed over to our "frien-emy's" house (friend/enemy..they are steeler fans) and watched the Browns vs Steelers game! Of course my beloved Brownies got creamed so instead of watching we played board games all afternoon:-) We had a wonderful weekend and are sooooo excited about the year ahead! So many exciting things to look forward too!! Hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! See you all soon :-)

Christmas 2010

What a great Christmas!!
Kennedy was at the perfect age this year and made the weekend super fun!!
Grammy and Papa flew in a few days before Christmas. We drove up to Columbia (about 90 miles from Charleston) to pick them up. They were only expecting to see Kendal there...of course Kennedy and I hid in the bathroom and ran out to surprise them!!
She was so excited to see both of them!

The next morning was spent being lazy. Watching movies and Mom & I baking in the kitchen:-)
We may have squeezed a little shopping in that day too:-)

IT'S A BOY!

We've had quite the busy week! Between Christmas shopping, Dr's Appointments, and Kendal's crazy work schedule its all been a blur! We found out this week that Kennedy is going to have a baby brother! Can't say I was too surprised. I've said from day one I felt this baby was a boy, I can say that I am THRILLED to be the mommy of a little man! I can't wait to snuggle him!!! We've been tossing around names for months now and I think we've agreed on Colton!! Middle name is still up in the air. I hope everyone is doing well and has a wonderful, blessed Christmas! My Mom and Dad will be here on Wednesday for the holiday and I can hardly wait! Love to all!

Not much has been going on around here the past few days. Just getting ready for the holidays. Decorating the house, Wrapping lots of presents and addressing tons of Christmas cards:-) Winter has made its way to Charleston. It has been pretty cold this past week any where from the 50's during the day to the 20's in the evening. I know, I know, to all of our northern family the 50's is nothing but HEY, to us southerners....that's just plain COLD!! I even had to give up my flip flops today:-(
Kendal is on alert this week. So Kennedy and I have spent most of our time going back and forth from home to the Air Force Base so we can spend time with him in his dorm room. I have another Doctors appointment next week to check on the little bean. We will be scheduling our ultra sound to find out just who has been growing inside of me... So excited~ can hardly wait! Hope everyone is enjoying this time of year and is doing well! Love to all of you!

Whenever we say Kennedy...she corrects us and says no Mommy, its Princess Kennedy!

Thanksgiving 2010

I Love Love Love this time of year! I love having family around, yummy food to fill my belly, the cool air, the shopping, getting into the Christmas spirit, and most of all being reminded of all that I have been blessed with and am thankful for!! This Thanksgiving was the best! My hubby was home with us this year, my parents were able to join us, my brother & Lindsay surprised us & we hosted all of our friends in our new home!!
Kennedy was so excited for the festivities to begin. She had been waiting all week to see her Grammy. She ran out the front door, past Papa (who was bent down with arms wide open, expecting a hug) and straight to my mom. She was squealing with excitement!

We began cooking right away!
Her favorite part was helping my Mom clean out the Turkey:-)

We spent the entire weekend with friends, and it was wonderful! Kennedy enjoyed playing with her little buddies all day, everyday, while Kendal & I enjoyed catching up with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the weekend~ hope everyone is well!

Uriah, Jamie, and Hayden received orders to VA Beach
while Chris and Jess where the only ones who hung around Charleston.
Saturday evening we had the opportunity to all be together for dinner once again,
just like old times! It was awesome and the kids have grown so much! We made sure to take tons of pictures and Kendal & I are hoping we can make it an annual gathering:-)

Nana & Pa Visit

Last Saturday Nana & Pa made the long 20+ hour drive to come visit us for the week. We had a great time doing all sorts of fun stuff! Thanks for everything Mom & Dad, hope you enjoyed the week as much as we did! Enjoy the photos:-)

Quick Trip!

Boy have we been busy! Kendal has been out of town for the past 2 weeks for work, while Kennedy and I hopped on a plane to Ohio for the past 12 days. We happened to stumble upon a really great deal for air fare and didn't want to pass up the opportunity to spend some time with family. Kennedy was so excited to go on the airplane. Our flights were at 6am which meant waking up by 4am but lucky for me she did surprisingly well. When we got off the plane in Cleveland, she saw her Papa and took off running as fast as she could! She was so excited. We walked in their house and she just made herself at home. My mom jokingly said..."I think she thought she was on vacation, and now she thinks she is back home" too funny! We had a blast~and I'm so glad I didn't totally miss out on "fall" this year! Thanks for everything Mom and Dad...see you in 3 weeks:-)
Kendal will be home tomorrow afternoon and then Nana & Pa will be here on Saturday for the week with lots of fun things planned:-) We sure know how to stay busy around here!

It probably helps that Grammy works at the dentist office and her hygienist, Stephanie, is our good buddy:-) not to mention Aunt Carli was in the room for support!!
However, when the Dr came into the room to do an exam~she freaked!

She got to pick out a prize for a job well done!

Another fun week in the Tripp household! Kendal was on night shift so we didn't get to see much of him this week. Kennedy sure was missing her Daddy...she made sure to cling to him every chance she got~too cute! Kendal and I have both mentioned how much we miss home this time of year. The leaves changing, bonfires,football,scarecrows, pumpkins, and most of all the COOL air! Its still in the 80's here during the day and in the high 60's in the evenings. We were determined to experience "fall" this weekend! So we went to a high school football game on Friday night. Kennedy LOVED this cheerleaders and the band. We had a great family night. Saturday we headed out to a local pumpkin patch with some friends and tomorrow we plan on watching some football and decorating the house for Halloween! I am so excited to dress Kennedy up and take her trick-or-treating this year!! I hope you are all enjoying that fall air for us up north! We sure do miss it, and all of you!!!!

What a fun weekend we had! My parents were on vacation in Washington, D.C. last week. They were supposed to head to Hershey, PA for the last part of the their trip...that's what Mom thought anyway. Dad and I had planned a secret trip to meet up in Asheboro, NC. Mom had no idea until Friday morning. She figured out something was up when their GPS started saying "head south on 95" She thought they were headed to my house! Tricking her was too funny! We met up at a hotel on Friday afternoon and hung out all weekend long. Kennedy was beyond happy to see Grammy and Papa and it made me smile from ear to ear to see her so excited! The big attraction in Asheboro is the North Carolina Zoo. The zoo is HUGE! Kennedy loved looking at the animals and eating all the treats along the trek! We had a blast~ thanks for everything Mom and Dad...Thanksgiving is just too far away!!!

1st Family Camping Trip

Kendal has been bugging me about going on a family camping trip for quite sometime now. So a few months ago, I, of all people, began organizing a BIG camping trip with all of our friends. We headed out on Friday morning to "Short Stay" a military camp ground on Lake Moultrie (only about 40 minutes from home) 12 adults, 6 kids, and 3 dogs was quite the adventure but lots of fun! Out of the 6 kids we had with us, 4 of them were 2 and younger. All things considered they did really well. Lots of tears at bedtime though. Especially from Kennedy. Mommy wasn't too excited about sleeping on the ground or in a super muggy tent either. Note to self...air mattress and fan are required for our next trip! We were supposed to camp Friday and Saturday night, however, it started to rain around 5pm on Saturday and spoiled our trip. The kids were wet and cold, mommy was miserable, and there was a puddle of water in our tent...after much deliberation, everyone decided it would be best if we packed up and headed home! So in the dark and the rain we tore down our camp sites...what fun~ NOT!! I think we will stick with one night trips for now and slowly progress to longer trips! Kendal said he was really proud of this city slickers effort!!! Overall we had a really enjoyable time and are looking forward to our next trip!

Fun in the Sun!!!! Myrtle Beach

We headed up to Myrtle Beach for the long weekend and had SO MUCH FUN!
Myrtle Beach is only about 2 hours from Charleston and so worth the drive. Kennedy had a ball! Tons of kid friendly things to keep us busy! She had a smile on her face the entire weekend! The weather was perfect and we may have just found our annual Labor Day vacation spot!! We hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as we did~ Enjoy the pictures!

Kendal left on Sunday for a week long trip to Alabama. You would think after a year apart, a week would be no big deal but I sure am missing him again! When he gets home we are leaving for a long weekend at Myrtle Beach! We rented a little water front condo and are just hoping these "hurricane" threats fizzle out before our little trip!

Last weekend I got to enjoy a girls night out with all of my ole gal pals! (Air Force Wives)
We had a blast~ I forgot how much fun these girls are!

I came home to find 2 snakes on our back enclosed patio. This one slithered out of Kennedy's water sink. Good thing I have the worlds greatest friends who came over and took care of him. The other snake got away extremely quickly! With that said, I haven't been in the back yard all week! haha!

Getting Settled In

Things finally seem to be settling down around here. Boxes are finally finished being unpacked, pictures are hung on the wall and our new house is starting to feel like "home" The only thing we have yet to adjust to is this southern heat! We are beach bound this weekend, its the only place we can sit outside comfortably! We have had a very busy week, something going on every day and every night, looking forward to a weekend full of family time! This past weekend our friends Chris & Jess invited us out to Jessica's parents lake house. The kids had a blast playing in the golf cart and in the sprinkler. It rained on and off all afternoon so we could only hang out at the beach for a few minutes...can't wait to go back and splash in the water!!

I can't even begin to explain how happy we are!! Kendal has been home for one week already! We are all moved into our new home (BIG thanks to everyone who helped out~ we couldn't have done it without you!) Kendal is back to work now and Kennedy & I are enjoying the "new house" and visiting with all of our friends who we've missed very much! Only a handful of boxes left to unpack but I think another trip to the beach is in order this weekend~ Oh how I've missed that sand!!!!! SO HAPPY TO HOME!! I have uploaded a bunch of pictures from over the week but they are all out of order! For some reason it won't allow me to rearrange them....so I will tell a backwards story this week! Enjoy!!

I can not believe this year will be over in just one week! Kendal has moved out of his apartment and into a hotel room on base. His belongings have been picked up and should be on their way back to the states! He is finished at his office and is just completing all of his final out processing. In just 1 week and 9 hours we will have our arms wrapped around one another and the best part...I won't have to drive him back to the airport 12 days later!! I'm so excited!

Kennedy & I have been staying incredibly busy... soaking up as much fun with friends and family as possible before the big move~ The next time I blog~we will be in South Carolina in our new home!! Please say an extra prayer for us during our travels! Love you all very much!

15 days and counting...

Only 15 more days to go! We sure have stayed busy during our last few weeks. The days seem to just be flying by. My friend Shannon (who I lived with when I first moved to South Carolina) is still in town with her family before moving to Italy! We have been taking the kids on all sorts of outings over the past two weeks to keep ourselves busy! I'm still packing boxes daily and getting everything in line for the big move! I'm so excited!!! Hope you are all enjoying summer as much as we are! Love you all!

Shannon & I took the kids to the drive in theater. We had chairs and snacks all set up outside of the car and then out of no where it started pouring rain! We were trapped in the hot car all evening but had a blast!!!

We also visited a local farm. We took Kennedy there the last time Kendal was home~she loved it so much I wanted to take her back one more time before we moved! The kids loved it!
